Transformers and 18 Medium Voltage (MV) Cubicles (SM6-36). The maintenance scope was
carried out to ensure the continued safety, reliability, and operational performance of the electrical distribution systems. The works included detailed inspection, functional testing, cleaning, lubrication, grounding
continuity checks, and verification of critical electrical and mechanical components.
Dry Type Power Transformers
The maintenance activities for the 7 Dry Type Power Transformers included:
Physical and mechanical inspection
Transformer room condition checks
Thermistor and cooling fan testing
Grounding continuity verification
OLTC self-protection testing, where applicable
General cleaning and maintenance reporting
MV Cubicles – SM6-36
The maintenance activities for the 18 MV Cubicles included:
Cleaning and inspection of breaker compartments
Grounding continuity checks
Inspection of indicators, heaters, and measuring devices
Testing of grounding disconnectors and interlocking systems
Lubrication and inspection of mechanical components
Inspection and torque verification of MV cable and busbar connections
Breaker, contact, coil, and spring charging motor testing
Contact transition resistance measurement
Inspection of epoxy insulation and cubicle components
Project Outcome
Through the completion of the maintenance program, 7 Dry Type Power Transformers and 18
MV Cubicles (SM6-36) were systematically inspected, cleaned, tested, and serviced.
The completed maintenance activities enhance the reliability, safety, and operational
readiness of the electrical distribution infrastructure, while supporting preventive maintenance
requirements and reducing the risk of unexpected equipment failures and operational
interruptions.
